It’s not Rocket Science!
Some agencies I have seen in the past lie to maintain an air of the mystical about digital marketing. They jealously hold onto the knowledge that makes things work as if it was some dark art, about 2 years ago I actually attended a seminar entitled, “Online Marketing; The New Alchemy”. Needless to say the speaker was one of those pseudo-sorcerer types, he and only he knew “the secret” and for a tidy sum he would grace you with his skills.
Well I have news for that so called web wizard, it’s not magic and its definitely not rocket science!

- 35% hard work into creating a cohesive and deliverable marketing strategy.
- 35% creativity to deliver an a campaign that stands out but is appropriate.
- 10% geekiness, persistence and a tiny bit of luck .
OK, well you can see I was never going to be a rocket scientist, but I hope you get my point. It’s not magic or complex scientific algorithm, but planning, product knowledge, market research and hard graft!
